Why Hot Water ($85^\circ\text{C}$) is Essential for Biofilm Destruction

Bacteria and viral particles shelter inside lipid-protein matrices (grease, intestinal mucus, and tallow fats). Cold water merely smears these organic fats across aluminium trailer flooring.

At $85^\circ\text{C}$, high-pressure hot water:

  1. Melts the protective lipid envelope of enveloped viruses (including Influenza A).
  2. Liquefies organic tallow, exposing naked pathogen cells to subsequent chemical sanitisation.

Wash Bay Drainage & Manure Separation
